About Us

The idea behind Purple Iris Training Academy was rooted an year back when we realised that despite the glut of BCA, B.Tech, MCA, and photoshop, flash trained students in the market, there was a serious dearth of people who could start delivering from their first day on the job.

Most students have had very theoretical training and virtually no exposure to live projects, which makes them incapable of creating a design or writing a small programming module that can be presented to a client. And thus companies spend precious resources and several months to train the fresh recruits.

The students on the other hand face problems at the time of placement because of the same reason. Not to forget the fact that most professionals we surveyed felt that they developed a real understanding and a real interest in what they were studying, only after they joined the workforce. In some cases, it was the reverse as well. Only when they began scouting for a job or took up one, some felt that the stream they had studied for wasn't really their cup of tea. And then went back and did something else! Most felt that when they joined the workforce, they realised that they were not really 'prepared' for it and that most learning eventually happened on the job.

Purple Iris is also our endeavor to give something back and contribute towards inclusive growth. We feel that there is incredible amount of talent that is left untapped because students from certain strata of the society can-not afford to go to expensive training institutes. Purple Iris is an attempt to make vocational education affordable for them and impart them the skills to compete with others at a more even platform. A few years down the line, we plan to open training centers in smaller towns and cities. Some of our own students probably will take up the mantle. Who knows...
